Returning to UK - Letter of good conduct

    Hi All,

I am returning to the UK soon and know I will need a Letter of good conduct/Police clearance certificate stating I have been a law abiding Farang during my time here. I cannot find anything in FAQs and have been given conflicting information at school. I must obtain the necessary documentaion in order to gain a PVG cerificate which will allow me to teach again in the UK.

My question is do I get this from my local police station or is it obtained from immigration.

    Your advice is greatly appreciated.

Should also have confessed to being Scottish. They are particularly 'anal retentive' about such things. I had a similar experience in the past.

I've done it before. There is an office in Bangkok set up specifically for Thai Police Clearance. The staff there are pleasant, and they know the routine. If you're in Thailand, you have to go to the office in Bangkok. You can't do it by mail within Thailand. When I asked them before, there were no other locations in Thailand to do it.

Heads up: You'll need to specify your destination country, and the certificate will be valid only for that destination country. Also, your photograph will be taken at the office during the application visit, and this photo will be printed on the certificate itself.
