Hi guys,
I've been living in Bangkok for 5 weeks, I have just finished my TESOL certificate from 1 month intensive training centre here and am now looking for a teaching job.
I'm originally from London (hence the RiverThames screen name) and so far I am really liking Thailand. I made many Thai friends back in the UK at University when they were studying for their Masters Degrees, and we had an informal language exchange - I got my first ever English teaching experience, and also learnt some Thai language in the process. I guess this is what eventually led me to be here as an ESL teacher.
I just thought I'd say hi, and introduce myself to the community![]()
Hey! I'm pretty new here myself. I'm coming to Thailand in January 2013, hence the creative name. This forum has been pretty interesting the two short weeks I've been here. Welcome
Welcome....
Hope you didn't spend the whole olympics doing a tefl course, the atmosphere seemed great in London this summer
Hi RT and welcome. Which part of London are you from? We live right next to Greenwich Station and Greenwich Park is beside us. TheSmiler, the atmosphere was and still is really great here.
And the museums, art galleries, restaurants, cafes, The Cutty Sark.......![]()
...and a short trip to Thamesmead, that idyllic, bucolic, paradise.
and has it changed Stratford?
Can you be more specific?
Greetings, RT. I lived in London years ago--nowhere near Greenwich Park, though.
I'm sure you'll love the forum.
Now that you're looking for a job, have you thought of what kind of position you'd be interested in? Do you feel prepared for addressing a classroom?
