    Icon7 Hello, it's me!

    Hello guys,
I'm about to move in Bangkok with my boyfriend in mid-October to be an TESL teacher. We've been to Thailand once before, but as tourists. My boyfriend is looking for a job as film-maker-vide-oeditor-camera guy or filmaking and post-production teacher for he has more than 10-years experience in this field. We're looking for flat in Hua Mark area (or not to far from there), a cheap one because now we can only count on one salary.
Do you have any suggestion on a nice area where to look for a flat? Or a good website where to look for house rental or jobs?
I'm really excited to start our new life in Bangkok and we'd like to meet new nice friendly people, too.
Please, feel free to give us any suggestions of any kind!
    Nicoletta

I don't live in Bangkok but several other members do. I'm sure they'll come around with suggestions.

And good luck to you both.

    Welcome.

Don't know anything about the area you want to live in, suggest initially renting a temporary apartment somewherelike this Sitara Place Apartment | Bangkok, Thailand while you find your bearings. I stayed there for six months, very quiet, clean and safe, plus lots of great street eats close by. Sunil the owner is an honest good guy and his son is involved in film making so could be a good contact for your man.

I don't fancy his chances of getting a "job" in film making though.

I dunno, adverts, promos, videos for bands, weddings, events etc etc. I'm sure there's an opportunity there.

If there is ...he'll be doing it illegally on a Tourist Visa.

    ---Update---

    Not very secure.
