To be honest I agree and it may just be bad luck with my experience - if a Thai interviewer said ...'OU....never heard of it?'
I would usually just smile and confirm it's legit and a top 500 University ( unlike most of the Thai ones )
One asked me where was the University located and I just replied - Milton Keynes...lol
It's better to be prepared - but all verifications will confirm it's a recognised degree - no worries !
I did have one nightmare semi interview - a Nigerian husband and wife who work at a local junior school were slightly derisory and suggested it was nothing better than a Kasoan Rd degree. They then asked where I was from..I replied ' The UK'
The husband smiled and said - ' You don't sound Ukranian...'
About 1 month later they were both deported/asked to leave as their degrees were actual K road ones....
One thing that will shock you here is the lack of privacy in interviews - all of mine were done in a full room of teachers ( 10-30 people )
And at any given time one of them would join in with a question....madness I tell you !
