So is best to just arrive in Thailand and then look for a job?

I'm planning on doing this in April next year, what's the possibility of landing a job for just 5 months in Bangkok? Cheers

April is a good a time as any...

I hope you are doing this for fun because for five months only you'll need a lot of cash support.

Yep just go there and find a job, as we did before the Internet.

A hard question to answer with a lack of detail about your personal circumstances

Why for such a short period of time? The answer to your question is "Yes" but whats the scoop?

in response to the OP, yes.

and contrary to popular opinion, it makes sense to bring a shirt and tie. beachwear reduces your odds somewhat, although you'd probably still end up with a job somewhere, even if your idea of beachwear is speedo, socks 'n' sandals...

Go straight to the nearest language school - should be a no-brainer.

Having no brain is indeed needed for that approach. Fraught with danger. The op might end up working with a bunch of thick wankers working for 250 baht an hour at Siam Computer. He might even be brainless enough to conclude that they are thick wankers because of their nationality.

Rather than reaching the more difficult to face conclusion that only a thick wanker would work for 250 baht an hour - whatever his nationality.
