What iPhone iPad English learning Apps worth getting ?

    Hi

is there a list of interesting Apps to help learn English ? Free or 99 cents

Maybe 2 lists , one to use when they have an English speaker there to help
and another list of Apps to use by themselves at home .

I would be nice if they "spoke" English too

And also if they will work on a iPhone / iPad when there is no WiFi available

There are so many Apps in the App Store that I could never look at them all

    Thanks for your ideas

    Hi Dave,
Well, you know Siri right? Although it's not an app any more but built into iOS 5. Siri recognizes spoken English, and speaks English itself. Siri still has its limitations, but will continue to improve with each release of iOS. Re learning English apps in the App Store, I'm sure there are many - but I haven't tried any yet as most of my students don't have iPhones / iPads.

    Hi Dave and Tungsten,
Based on your Siri comment, there is actually an iPhone App called Supiki that is very similar to Siri but made for english learners. It is a conversation app that understand you talks to you based on what you have said.

Siri does not run on the iPad.

    Grab "sayHi Translate".
