Identity theft- Beware!!! - Ajarn Forum

When I warned you Guys about 'Identity Theft' about a year ago, I was accused of being Paranoid etc, by some twats.

Well, now it's here Big Time ......one in four people in the UK, have had money stolen by Crooks (estimated total - one Billion Pounds) who have impersonated them, and it's going on all over the World, thanks to Internet Banking etc.

SO I urge you to destroy all Bank Statements, Utility Bills, and offers of Credit Cards or anything with your name and address on it. Don't just throw them in the bin. OK?

Also don't use your Mother's Maiden name, and your Date of Birth as proof of Identity on the 'phone or Internet. They are SO EASY to acquire by those who want to pretend they are YOU.

A friend of mine has been struggling for months, to prove to a Bank (with which HE has never has an account ) that the Â£15000 they say he owes them, was not drawn by him!

Wrong attitude Pal.

It's not only money in your Bank Account that they are after.

They buy expensive goods, and take out huge loans, in YOUR NAME!.

And proving that THAT is what has happened, can be very tricky indeed....

Yeah, that, and cloning ATM cards - it's absolutely everywhere! Destroy everything and alert at ATMs - tiny cameras and bits stuck on that read your card, very professionally done.

Talk about identity theft...In December 2004, Bank of America lost tapes of 1.1 million customers that contained personal data that uncluded SSN's. The investigation is still ongoing...

I don't want a war in Iraq I want to see the people who do this stuff dead. I mean it. Financial and information crimes ruin people's lives. These computer hackers are ruining the lives of so many people. Some people go so far as to commit suicide over financial crimes. The punishment should be severe. I wish Saudi Arabia and China would take the lead and set an example for the rest of the world to follow.

Using the net I always wonder who's out there possible tapping into my connection trying to steal personal info. I don't know enough about computers to really know how much I am at risk. I don't trust internet cafes either. You might type in you email and someone has put something on that computer which copies you information.

So catch the scumbags and promptly execute them. Oh, and you can just drop a few nukes in Nigeria that home of crime!
