In Hawaii, where Obama grew up, a state of many bi-racial children, he would be called "popolo". This is not derogatory, as ethnicity is something to proud of in Hawaii. Usually, someone would be called how they look. And with an afro hairstyle, and his playing of basketball, Obama would have been called "popolo" by the other students. Bi-racial people are referred to as "hapa", but Obama doesn't look hapa (mixed race).

Of course, Julie Banderas at Faux News, who is half-Colombian, called him "Halfrican". In Los Angeles, he would be called an "oreo", black on the outside, white on the inside. These are all just labels, and I don't think any of these names reflect on his true thinking.
