I was against the Iraqi war from day one Lotuslevi....we had no business going in Iraq. In 2002 I joined a group known as "Warriors for Peace" a peace activist group that was strongly against the build up to the Iraqi war. I probably shocked everyone in that group because they were die hard liberals and I am die hard conservative. To this day I remember I remember protesting the war and having people spit upon me, throw things at me, and insult me in ways that I would never insult my worst enemy.

. More then anything in this world I want to see peace within Israel. But peace will not come at the cost of Israel existence.

There has always been anti-semitics throughout history. Instead of running and crying about it I have decided to stand and fight.

As I told you in my private message the other day Loti...it is never good for people like ourselves to fight publicly. We may disagree with one another but we can be respectful towards each other.

I am not a Zionist but I don`t want to see Israel gone either. Of course anti-semitism exists and will always, just like racism on all fronts against blacks, Muslims...the list goes on. Some humans are even more ignorant than you.

I am not going to defend what I see as a few men breaking treaties and land barriers and aggravating attacks with no regard to the reaction of their neighbors for the sake of religion. You should see the documentry Israel and the Arabs: Elusive Peace, it is extremely unbiased and will put a lot of things in perspective.

I do believe you were rational enough to see Iraq as a bad idea, but you still give Dubya credit while he is what most Americans have come to see as the worst president in the latter half of the 20th century.

If nothing else, I want to make one thing absolutely clear to you. I do not make special reservations for people just because they are fellow Jews. I treat everybody with an equal amount of respect based on the respect they show for me and those around them, so don`t think I`m going to look at you any different than I would if you were a Christian (or a Muslim for that matter). It seriously pisses me off when Jews only look out for other Jews rather than the world at large and it`s what I feel is strongly responsible for Israel`s current problems.

Although it appears most of Berlin is heading to Obama's speech today, US Foreign Service personnel will be banned from the event. And they are not happy. Government employees serving in the United States are permitted to attend such events under the Hatch Act, which bars other partisan activity, such as contributing money or working in behalf of a candidate...
