No, claiming to have knowledge about Osama's whereabouts sounds less like an idea, and more about information. At least to me.
Having a plan to fix (or attempt to) the economy sounds more like an idea, to me.
I agree completely with your last part of the post...and I've said before and will always believe that under our current system of government either candidate will say a-n-y-t-h-i-n-g to get elected at this point.
But, I don't agree that money is more important than justice. Therefore, if your family member had died in the twin towers you might consider it more heinous to not disclose information that could lead to the capture of the person believed to have masterminded the attack, rather than some ideological roadmap to cure a xxtrillionxx dollar deficit that may or may not work.
In short, hiding (withholding) information that could possibly assist in catching someone on the FBI's most wanted list sounds a bit,...criminal.
Holding back on a financial plan to assist in the rebuilding of the economy is just typical prez campaigning.
