What if they actually find Osama Bin Laden before the election?

First off, I think there is some truth in Osama Bin Laden being a fictional person. They pour all this money into the war and trying to find him, yet they fail. Not to mention they been looking for him for years.

All that aside, lets say they miraculously find him before the election, how much of a
game-changer do you think this will be?

Although I voted early already, I would not change my mind due to a development like this.

Re: What if they actually find Osama Bin Laden before the election?

I think it would depend on where they found him. Bush's ranch in Crawford for example....

Yes, Santa Claus, the tooth fairy, Osama Bin Laden. Same, same.

What would that be then? The fact that the entire resources of America's war-machine couldn't find him, so he must be fictional.

Weapons of mass destruction, anyone?

The only evidence of those that the UK and US would have, would be receipts.

Re: What if they actually find Osama Bin Laden before the election?

Does anyone really care or worry about him right now? All of Capitalist life as we know it is imploding and self destructing and Al-Queda must be laughing their socks off. Personally I think he did exist but died sometime since 9/11 but it suits both sides to have him as bogey man/hero.

That's the whole point. Now, I said there is 'some' truth in it, not entirely. Actually, this is more of a theory and there are trillions out there...

What I can't believe is they went into Iraq and found Saddam in some hole in the middle of the desert, yet they still haven't apprehended Osama all this time; he might as well be fictional. Of course, as you know, there are a lot of other factors involved, such as resources he has at his disposal like technology, funding, caves to hide in , not to mention all his cronies they have to go through to get to him... etc.....

Who knows, I wouldn't be surprised if they time his apprehension with the election to try to sway the election in their favor?

It's a crazy world we live in!

Right, so you reckon they've had him stuck away in Guantamano for say, 2 or 3 years to be trundled out as the Republican's trump card if Obama gets too far ahead in the polls? Great theory, buy you a drink if you're right!

I wouldn't go so far to say he is in Guantanamano, although anything is possible.

oh, he's exists, sure of that.

his story though, fictional.

those behind the u.s. administration know exactly where he is, what he's doing. been their man for decades.

So he partially exists? Is he a ghost that can appear and disappear at will? Either he exists or he doesn't. How can someone not existing be "partially true"?

Re: What if they actually find Osama Bin Laden before the election?

too late IMHO.

if it happened a year ago, it would be political fodder. its just too late in the game for it to be seen as politically convienient.

THEN AGAIN, bush is every bit as stupid as his legend is.

i fully believe that we know where he is though. its all gamesmanship.

It is just a silly theory - some are more believable than others. This one seems to be in the bottom of the barrel.
