israels sins, IMO, have been long in the making. this episode isnt one of them. their essential fault is what they have been doing to palestinians for years. this one is simply a counterpunch- albiet harder than the original punch. but serves hamas right. fire rockets randomly into a country- get hit back.
what Israel is doing in Gaza now is a war crime. Franny, what other people in the world right now have been are under a brutal occupation for 40 years like the Palestinians have? and most of the families in the refugee camps in Gaza (which are under heavy attack now by Israel) have been there since 1947 when Israel was founded and the Jewish Irgun were acting like terrorists killing Palestinians resulting in Palestinians fleeing their homes.

50% of Gaza is kids and the rockets attacks being unprovoked is a strictly US/Israeli point of view, which you're entitled to of course.
The fact that hundreds of kids dying is newsworthy in my eyes and saying that Al Jazzera is propaganda by virtue of showing a non western point of view and covering the human side of war is a bit silly.
Sounds like someone would like to see more censorship in Arab media, the truth can be unpalatable for some.

a U.N. school was hit recently and after evidence was shown, Israel admitted later that no rockets were coming from the school but from nearby.
just where are the arab countries helping the palestinians during peaceful times?

the fact is, the arab world loves a punching bag. the govnts distract their people from the realities they face. so why help the palestinians? let them deterioriate- just dig tunnels, smuggle arms and bait israel into a fight at any turn.
it doesnt make israels occupation right. but it at least explains, inmy view, why things are the way they are. israel/palestine is The Great Distraction for the govnts who need a poplace to look outward, not inward for their frustration

How soft are those foolish enough to be upset by civilian deaths and horrific injuries, perhaps pulling heartstrings will get the worlds attention quicker so it can pressure governments to ratify a ceasefire. Yes these propaganda merchants have a sinister objective, trying to end the bloodshed.
If you go on you tube you will find that interview with the Queen of Jordan specifically point out that half of Gaza is kids, you might not believe that since your so ready to believe the spokespeople for the bombing of civilians as they assure us that weapons and fighters are hiding amongst civilians.

A senior U.N. official denied on Wednesday that any Hamas militants were inside a U.N.-run school in Gaza where Israeli shelling killed more than 40 people on Tuesday.
A spokesman for UNWRA separately told Reuters that the Israeli army, in private meetings with diplomats, had admitted that the mortar fire came from outside the school compound and not from within it.
"This is an extremely important distinction because we have been accused of very serious allegations that our premises were being used to fire rockets," spokesman Chris Gunness said.
