I have posted occasionally on this forum for years and I see that somethings just don't change.

About Thai politics - People want political power for several reasons
It feels good
You can get stuff that you don't deserve.
You can give stuff that isn't yours.
You may be thinking "what about helping people?"

Gender issues? Most expats live in Thailand because they don"t have to give control of Mr Johnson to a whiny, fat, western woman.
50/50 relationship? If you aren't on top in a 70/30 then what the hell are doing there? Ruining Thailand?

Religions - Some of you spend so much energy knocking religion that I think you were an altar boy in a Boston Catholic Parish.
You live happily in a country where people bring food to little statues. Get over your hate of religion.

I love the myth that the more bitter western foreigners like to peddle, that all western women are fat, ugly and bitchy. Perhaps those with the most hatred had the least success with the fairer sex in the west - chai mai?

Total bollocks. I, and I suspect a lot of other people on this forum, hate religion because it causes so much hate, misery and war, If you believe in a higher being, you may as well believe in Santa Claus, there is no proof that either exists. The world would be a much happier and peaceful place without religion. I include all religions in this, and I don't live in Thailand by the way!
I would guess that the OP is American, they seem to be only deluded ones here who ever defend religion.

Correct Mr. Pants. My mother isn't like that at all. At age 90 she is still pure.
