It's the media's agenda at the moment to paint all BNP folks as right wing Nazi's.
Of course that's utter nonsense. But lots of folks are quite willing to buy into the bullshit, so be it.
Next to the Netherlands and the Phillipines I would say that the greatest percentage of folks who have simply "given up on their country", "don't want to see it again" are Brits and Irish.
It's a pretty remarkable phenomenon.
Like many western nations the Brits have been fucking up on their immigration policy for years now. Allowing too many people too quickly is a recipe for disaster. In Britain it's pretty obvious that's what's happened.
Are some folks going to be upset by the situation. You bet.

Trailer trash and middle class housewives alike, they've all been believing the bollocks in the press about immigrants taking up social housing and healthcare, when the statistics all show its a load of shit. The cause of their anger is not immigrants, but very, very poor standards of journalism - sensationalism over immigration sells newpapers because it lets everyone feel hard done by - and we Brits like that - and gives everyone an excuse for their sorry little lives.
Immigrants on the other hand came in with their culture, gave us some damn good food to eat, fill nursing positions across the country - the health system would have fallen apart had it not been for Indians and Filipinos - work hard and build strong families with good children. Of course, they aren't all perfect and in deprived areas they're as bad as our beloved trailer trash, but on the whole they do a damn good job and have a positive effect on the economy.

Do the economic numbers actually support the contention that the recent levels of immigration are good for the economy.

Thai's, Filipino's, the UAE, etc, have no problem in guarding the door of immigration, and they also have no qualms in requiring you to respect (symbolically or not) their laws and traditions. Rub'em the wrong way, and your gone, had you assed whooped, or are in the slammer.
Most expats aint got a problem with that --outside our own countries, which throw out the mat, and try a group hug to show how wonderful diversity and multiculturalism are at their own expense. Which is why Obama can say with a straight face --''We are not a Christian country...''.

I've always thought it a good idea to provide greater incentives for families to have children.
Mind you that would be like closing the barn door after the horses had already split.
Anyway, Quebec already does that in order to support and protect French culture.
