I heard on ESPN that even the English commentary in Singapore (I think) is shite...done by one bloke who talks about driving in the countryside and that (apparently you need a second commentator (sp?) to add 'colour'......where is John Barnes when you need him huh???).

Harry I agree with you. We have got this far with Lampard missing several good chances. If he had been on form there would have been one or two more goals in each game, and possibly a hat-trick for him against Trinidad.

Now, if he finds his form, and Rooney clicks in, I reckon the cup is ours.

So Brazil beat soccer giants Ghana. I'm so impressed. We beat Jamaica in a friendly a few weeks ago, same same but different. The real games are about to start.

that means it's germany or argentina on one side of the final. i'm confident that we'll do portugal, so it's us or brazil on the other side. (forget france)

Jammy git....Thai all the way for me...spoils it (although some tit on Stickman made the comment that 'well you don't get commentary at a real game'! bunny!!!).

quite true kk although sometimes it's seems at a live match the person next to you comments on every ball, every foul, every off side, every bad referee decision, how bad the half time burger is, ect ect.

i would sometimes* prefer to listen to andy grey for example, than the person next to me talking utter pants.

It's Brazil V Germany/Argentina/Italy IMO, too tough to call which of those three in the second group will go through.

I think FIFA and the sponsors will definitely want either or both Brazil and Germany in the final so expect a few more dodgy decisions in the next few games. If things arent going according to the script then expect to see a strange penalty or offside.
Of course it's going to be so easy for FIFA to blame the refs after the match but who appointed them all in the first place?
