Well I just saw an ad on UBC announcing at last that they'll be showing the RWC (whew!).

And starting from I think the 25th of this month there'll be replays of games from the last World Cup (Star Sports I think).

Not sure mate, I know the first game for the Wallabies is Japan on the 8th of September, so I'm assuming the first game of the tournament is one or two days before that...

I always prefer home when I can mate, but I'm more than happy to meet up somewhere. I'm not sure if Bus Stop will be showing it but that's quite a pleasant little beer garden to watch sport in, and there's a few places on soi 33...

That Irish bar on Convent is alright too.

Looky Looky is another Aussie pub round the corner from the office. Alright in there, but a bit small for my sport viewing needs. Watched a few recent games in the Office with all its new tellies which was OK.

Not a big fan of the Office myself. I do like the idea of getting out to watch the first game though (will it be France as the hosts or England as defending champs I wonder?).

Not till October or November mate.

The Office has improved a bit lately. More TVs all over the place, more chance of getting the volume turned up on the commentary instead of some fcuker prancing with a violin

I went there are few weeks back. Was not impressed. The manager seemed a nice guy but I got groped by a bar girl in front of my wife, while I was watching the game. Bloody poor form. The big screens are an advantage especially when they turn the sound up.

Well I recently checked my UBC guide and it turns out the first televised replay of a game from the last WC is tomorrow evening.

It's France V USA, and the best thing is because we've forgotten the early rounds of the last Cup we can watch games like this without knowing who's going to win...
