Here is going to be the finals breakdown:

Lakers vs. Hornet - This will be an amazing series. Both teams have superstars, depth, ball movement, and are just plain exciting to watch. This will be the best series in the playoffs I think.

Detroit vs. Celtics - No fun here, the Piston will destroy the Celts in quick fashion, and then go to the finals to get destroyed by the West.

Expand on that statement a bit.

The Celtics and the Lakers both need to take one on the road.

I just think the Celts are the worst best team in the NBA. They have 3 aging superstars, and really only KG is playing at a high level. When it comes to crunch time and they need baskets, it seems like they have no idea who to go to, they haven't decided who "that guy" is going to be yet. They are a front running team and pretty much only play well with a lead. You go up on them and they crumble. Plus depth wise, they can't compare with the other teams left in the playoffs.

Detroit has been to the Eastern Conference finals something like 8 years in a row. They are a well oiled machine with scorers at every position, and solid defense. Plus they have 4 or 5 guys they can throw at KG all series and completely take him out of his game. The Celts just don't match up well with the Pistons at all.

    Re: Nba

You make some solid points although the regular season stats tell a different story. All three played very well and the bench was one of the best in the league all-around. Of course, this playoff run has been...uh...fucked. As we're through the looking glass at this point you're statement "the Celts are the worst" really hits the nail. In a painfully odd, unexplainable, real way.

    Go....Celts......

The regular season is a different story all together. The playoffs separate the men from the boys so to speak. Remember the season best Mavericks last year getting dropped in the first round by the 8th seed? Don't get me wrong, the Celts have talent, but none of their players have traditionally been successful in the playoffs. You take a room full of great players and toss them into a clutch situation and not all of them are going to shine. Some players just don't seem to have the x-factor that's needed to perform beyond expectations in pressure games and situations. I think KG has that type of focus and mentality, but it stops there imo.

Take a serious look at a team like the Pistons. Four of Five of their starters are cool as a cucumber and are big play guys. All of them are capeable of dropping a game winner without a second thought. I think that's the type of mentality the Celts lack. Especially when they are playing from behind, it's like they loose their heart. Which shouldn't be happening with a team full of vets.

    Re: Nba

^ great post. I have to agree with you there. This team facing the Pistons on Sunday is scary. If they have such a hard time getting past the Hawks and the Cavs, it only makes sense to think the Pistons are going to be in control through 5 or 6 games and be done with it.

Listening to Game 6 now. What the fucking hell is wrong with my Cetlics?

Cavs have gone on a 19-point run. A 19-point fucking run???!??!

Against the best regular season defensive team in the NBA.

Game 7? AGAIN? Against a crap team? AGAIN!!????!??!?

I'm wondering if the "Ubuntu" thing really works in the Playoffs.

4 minutes left and Big Baby is missing lay-ups when KG is still hot

and should be dominating the game on offense. In the meantime,

Lebron is hitting everything and being THE MAN on the other end.

We need KG to step the fuck up and be a little SELFISH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Love Eddie House though.

Fuck Dr. Octogon Sam I Am Cassell.

    Let him sit and cheer!

Listening to the game on ESPN.com.

I'm glad I'm leaving BKK for the country as soon as this is done.

I have a feeling I'm going to need some oxygen.

these ESPN announcers are idiots. where did they get these guys?????

    is this ESPN Asia?

    Fucking Wally Serb hitting 3's.

    WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

all this posting is helping me deal....

    1:28 left...

Paul needs to hit 2 FTs. NEEDS TO HIT.

No more talk. Just do it Paul.

    Check out the frustration meter:

    Re: Nba

I'm starting to wonder if it all matters.

Lakers are 8 and 2 in these playoffs.

Strange trade was that, sending Gasol to the Lakers. Memphis got zilch in return. Hmmm, you think Stern wanted the Lakers to be contenders again?

You couldn't have picked a more complementary player to accompany Kobe in the triangle. Now they are loaded, young and ready to reel off some more titles.

Oh yeah, and don't forget the Lakers are without the injured Bynam. Jeez...

They couldn't have gotten a better fit for that team. They are just plain fun to watch, and have some good depth. I think they are going to be very hard to beat, but the hornets would match up pretty well with them to be honest. So that would be an amazing series.
