BBC SPORT | Football | My Club | Man City | Eriksson to be sacked by Man City
Unbelievable! I think City have had a pretty decent season. far better than I thought they'd have.
It's quite reassuring in its own way though that Thaksin is now hated by the players and blue half of Manchester just as much as he is here.
Is there something 'very Thai' in this decision? Is there something akin to not looking at the long-term game plan and wanting someone to come in and do a proper job right this minute starting with a win against Fulham?
But as Thaksin said about Erikson in an interview on the BBC channel "he not come in and take care team same same I want"
The English may not have been quite that good but that was the gist of it.
The worst job in Thailand must be the man who has to sit down with a blue marker pen and mark a number two on the two-baht coins to stop people thinking they are one-baht coins.
Now they see the real side of 'frank'

Too long like a rolling stone, Too long in exile
Too long in Exile, baby you just arent my friend.
Too long in Exile my friend, Baby you can never go home again.
It's a good thing; now Man City can see the colour of Taksin's spots.
I think it's a 'rich' thing. I want it now, meddling in all areas ...etc, etc. An embarrassment, frankly.... "I no win, you fire"...
Maybe he just wants to hire Mourinho :-)
^ ohhh, good point. He's still a ...bleep, bleep, bleep.
I think Eriksson's dealt with the situation with a lot of dignity, and my respect for him as a manager has certainly gone up since he left the England job. He's a decent club manager who should be given time and support.
As for Thaksin, well, where do we start.... I think you summarised his comments (and his English ability) admirably, Phil. His only current rivals for clueless club owners are the ageing slapstick duo of Gillett and Hicks at Liverpool.
Reading a lot of the footie websites there's "shock" and "disbelief" at the possibility of SGE being sacked.
Knowing what sort of a person Thaksin is I'm reacting with "not really surprised" and "could have told you this would happen if Man City didn't win the Premiership in their first season being owned by Chinawatra".
It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no Interior Minister of Thailand's son.
well finally people with a brain in two countries can now see what a walking talking asshole looks like.
Yeah. Thaksin "Frank Sinatra" Chinawatra.
Certainly "Did It His Way"
Listen up Man City fans. Any man who decides to eradicate drugs in his home country by authorising police death squads to execute suspected drug dealers without trial is hardly going to be the sort of calm, rational club owner you need is he?
Very much so. The guy is an attention seeking child.Originally Posted by bangkok Phil

In a sense it serves Mancs right for accepting his blood and corruption stained coin in the first place.
Quite karmic, really.![]()

The BBC 606 website is going bananas.
Maybe the guy should have taken the MOE thai culture course so he would have know how to wai to Thaksin. And maybe a bow or two. lol
