By 2005 every previous resident of Warsaw had listed their temporary address as Portswood, Southampton, leading to it's appointment as capital of Poland. It is currently the subject of a hostile takeover bid from the home counties, particularly

Perhaps Villas-Boas isn't as bad as some thought...I had never quite written him off...but at Old Trafford

Spurs played well for an hour.

They got away with murder tbf. For 30 odd mins they defended inside their own box and invited Utd to throw balls into the box and shoot from all over the place. It was like they had 9 men. Utd hit the woodwork twice and had several really good chances, notably for RVP who missed what was an easy chance for him (inside left 12 yards, on his left foot...drags it wide).

As much as I dislike Utd, they didn't deserve to lose despite a wretched first half performance.

And that was not tactical genius from Villas-Boas (the last half hour). If he tries to hang on to a one goal lead for 30 mins like that in games...he will regret it.

^^So Spurs had pretty much the same gameplan as every other Utd opponent? I was waiting for deja vu all over again where Utd stole the 3 pts late on. Was mildly surprised when it never came...

Never can be sure with Ferguson but I have this moment every season when I doubt his sanity. Starting with Scholes Carrick and Giggs in midfield is asking for trouble. I know he has millions of quids out injured but that midfield is too slow against any prem side.
Rooney had a real impact when he came on.

Indeed - he's achieved what Fergie's old mate Redknapp never achieved (at several Premiership clubs) in only his first few weeks at Spurs.
    Dempsey was a shrewd buy.

Norwich down United...I remember decades back Norwich...or was it Ipswich...somebody can Google it...doing a similar thing...like being near the bottom of the table and beating United when they were scrapping for the title...United won it anyway...just an aberation...not the same as getting buttf..cked by City last season...United have won so many titles in that time I can't be stuffed checking what year it was

yeah, and if and when it becomes clear that they're not going to win it all again this year, you'll fade into utter silence like you did last season, after your premature strutting ended very badly.
