Wolves, West Ham and Blackpool are leading the race for the drop...with Wigan and Blackburn not far behind...but one more win for either should see them clear...its about time to close the book...and QPR, Cardiff and Norwich are clearing out in the promotion battle
Both competitions are going to the wire

Wolves and Blackburn have a game in hand. Birmingham seem safe on 38. The bookies have got it wrong...so far.
QPR have daylight in second place...will be a scrap between Norwich, Cardiff, Reading, Swansea and Forest for the playoff berths...and Leeds are only 1 point on goal difference behind Forest...Reading have made quite a leap in contention...

QPR promoted to the Premier League but points deduction remains a threat
QPR promoted to the Premier League but points deduction remains a threat - Telegraph
Before the game the FA issued a statement to deny that any of its officials had made a comment, reported in a newspaper on Thursday, which suggested that, if found guilty of breaking rules of third-party ownership of midfielder Alejandro Faurlín, the club could be docked 15 points.
It's getting very tight at the bottom. Blackpool needed a win yesterday, but only managed a draw. Wigan drew with Everton.
I get the feeling the battle will be more to do with how other teams perform with regards to Blackpool. We have Bolton at home, Spurs and United away, for the last match of the season. That could in fact be our saving grace!!
Those that want to read whatever they can want all freedoms, but have to understand they can have freedom, but it must be within the law.
An interesting day ahead...good article from the Telegraph...
Blackpool and Wolverhampton have been cautious; Birmingham City and Blackburn Rovers reckless

The bookies got it seriously wrong with West Ham...13/8...and nobody on the forum picked them either...likewise Wigan were favourites for the drop and arguably have the best chance of winning today...if I were betting today it would be for Blackpool and Birmingham to join West Ham...Manchester United can't let Blackpool win...can they?
It doesn't seem that way does it with Fergie building the game up and his plans to play a strong team, etc.
I fancy Wigan to get something at Stoke. Birmingham to get beat heavily at Tottenham and Blackpool to lose by the odd goal at Old Trafford. I think that sends Birmingham and Blackpool down. Jesus it's so tight down there.
Like you said before it might be the end for Birmingham...funny thing the Fantasy pundit is suggesting that Harry might not mind losing because he doesn't really want to be in the Europa league...that won't do Blackpool any good though...even if they get a point at Old Trafford...the local United Supporters club here has organised a special breakfast viewing...if that is the same elsewhere there is no way United will throw it...so if Brum do escape it might cost Blackburn or Wolves...probably Blackburn![]()
It's going to be an exciting last day. However strong the Man U lineup is, they'll have their minds on the champions league final. It's not unprofessional, it's just human nature. They might still thump Blackpool 5-0 but you never know. West Ham went there on the last day and won to stay up under the same circumstances a few years ago.
On with the dance! let joy be unconfined;
No sleep till morn, when Youth and Pleasure meet
To chase the glowing hours with flying feet.
It's gonna be close!
Looking at this predictor it seems Blackpool MUST avoid a tonking due to goal difference. They could survive if Spurs beat Brum and Pool lose by just one goal.
I'm sure Holloway has told his players to fight and make sure they don't give up as goal difference could save them today.
