    High Tea with Chelsea FC

Browsing through the 'society' pages of the Bangkok Post today, I came across the following announcement.

‘Bangkok Post’ Thursday, July 21, 2011.

    THE BUZZ

    LET’S GO OUT

    GET TOGETHER.
    High tea with Chelsea FC
    Ballroom, Shangri-La Hotel
Soi Wat Suan Plu, New Road
    July 22 at 3:30 pm

Shangri-La Hotel is hosting “High Tea with Chelsea FC” as part of its 25th anniversary celebration. This is a rare opportunity for Thai fans of Chelsea Football Club to meet players such as John Terry, Frank Lampard, Didier Drogba, Fernando Torres, Nicola (sic) Anelka and Ashley Cole.
    For reservations, call 02-236-9952.

It's such a pity that I shall be working tomorrow and will, therefore, miss the oportunity of asking England's Brave John Terry to pass me the scones. It would also be interesting to check up on Anelka's sexual re-alignment surgery. I could also tell the lads the best night club to fight outside early the next morning - making sure that I am in another part of town.

Will any ajarn.com aficionados will be sipping Earl Grey with Cashley?

    Can't make it unfortunately.

I wonder if they'll emulate Joey Barton of a few years back during Man City's visit when he beat up a 13 year old kid.

If JT's dad was in the party I'd be one of the first 'in line'.

Barton's one of a kind. his list of priors, on the other hand, is like Noah's Ark: at least two of everything...

I see he tweeted about being denied a US visa 'After what they get up to over there? What a bunch of hypocrites'.

oh Joey. the reason they won't let you in is that we already have plenty of home-grown talent in your particular field...

Barton's always amusing, even if typically it's in that morbid way that people tend to slow down to eyeball traffic accidents.
