    Aussie v NZ cricket

For Happy NZ and Kiwiling and any other kiwis out there

Aussie v NZ First cricket test in Brisbane this week. Aussie team has a lot of newbies and New Zealand....well....a good warm up game. Wish I'd seen Ryder's innings. Just get the feeling we are gonna put in a typical dismal performance when the pressure is on. At least there are neutral umpires (see below)

I remember this game. Same game that dyer claimed the non catch off Andrew Jones. Not the same as the Underarm match. Jesus...the Aussies really wrote the book on bad sportsmanship and cheating didn't they. Christ...I'm starting to sound like Mark Watson (if you know who I mean)

Although it was just a warmup match, Ryder's numbers were impressive -- 11 fours and, check this out, 16 sixes! Not a bad day at the crease.

    we are shit.

    or should that be shut?

The only decent quick has a bruised heel. Watson is playing hurt. And the gormless twit of a captain.....

Nah...just another example of the standard of Aussie umpires in all codes...except Bill Harrigan in rugby league...but I guess we have Billy Bowden...and after 3 days of this test I can't watch anymore...unless we score a bit in the second innings and hang in for a miriaculous draw

Kiwi - a shit days play today. Our team is as bad as Mark Watson makes it out to be.

Shit batters, popgun attack...and now we're are dropping catches. Shit...we used to be an alright fielding team.
I'm with you....will keep an eye on it on cricinfo tomorrow but ain't gonna waste my time watching us get smashed. Will be game over by tea tomorrow or just after me thinks

I can't believe how before this match the New Zealand media was talking up the New Zealand side as an in-form young team ready to demolish an out-of-form Aussie side.

    Witness this display...

8.6 Pattinson to Ryder, no run, that wasn't far from a hat-trick! Close! Pattinson fires it on the blockhole outside off, too quick for Ryder but the ball misses the off stump, his bat thuds the pitch, boy anything could have happened with that one
    Jesse Ryder will face
Damien Fleming has a hat-trick on debut. Will Pattinson emulate him?
8.5 Pattinson to Taylor, OUT, would you believe it he's on a hat-trick! Boy what's happening to New Zealand this morning! Pitched up outside the off stump, he moved across and had a poke at it, got the bottom half of the bat and Haddin takes it easily
    LRPL Taylor c †Haddin b Pattinson 0 (1b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0.00
8.4 Pattinson to Williamson, OUT, what a start so far for Pattinson! Better still he has sent back two specialist batsmen, angles this from outside off and gets it to shape inwards, induces Williamson to drive at it, thick outside edge and Ponting judges it well to his right at second slip
    KS Williamson c Ponting b Pattinson 0 (2b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0.00
8.3 Pattinson to Williamson, no run, pitches it up on the off stump, he drives half heartedly and misses
8.2 Pattinson to Guptill, OUT, didn't take too long for Australia to strike this morning! Pattinson was aiming for the body, Guptill couldn't fend it off properly, was on the ribs and the ball lobs off the top half of the bat and Khawaja takes it easily at short leg
    MJ Guptill c Khawaja b Pattinson 12 (33b 2x4 0x6) SR: 36.36
8.1 Pattinson to Guptill, no run, Guptill was completely squared up by that one which shaped away after pitching

Bracewell out, now 28 for the loss of 5 wickets. Woohoo!
12.3 Pattinson to Bracewell, OUT, The procession continues! Pattinson takes five on debut, he pitches it up outside off and induces the drive, Bracewell's intentions were right but he failed to drive through the line, thin edge through to Haddin
    DAJ Bracewell c †Haddin b Pattinson 2 (20b 0x4 0x6) SR: 10.00

At least Murray Deaker and Brendon Telfer clearly distanced themselves from that shite...what a bloody joke

    well there you go.

We've found a team more hapless than our current crop.

Sorry fella but we really did send out our weakest form team in a long while. If Patterson and Cutting keep this up, Mitch the Bitch can fucking retire...

First day at Hobart and New Zealand bats first and goes down meekly 150 all out. New Zealand sucks at cricket.

    Yep they sure do!

I lashed out and let Sky TV rob me for $25 to watch the first test. I am thinking of asking them for a refund.
