Terry had his days in court, and legally it's over. Not going to pass judgement on it, because it's not the issue.
Ferdinand wants us to believe that 'choc ice' is a term to say someone is fake, I've found nothing pre comments to back it up.
If a white guy had called Cole 'choc ice' would it have been deemed as racist?
But for me another more sinister point is raised by it, because it's implying that he acted 'white' in defending Terry and only white people would do that. It's clear that Ferdinand thought Terry was guilty and only a black man would support that and only a white man wouldn't, based on colour not situation. So in Ferdinand's eyes, all whites are racist. Surely that in itself is racist irrespective of the obvious racist comment directed a Cole.
And this isn't a support Terry voice, this is an 'in the interest of fairness and consistency' voice.
Decided to throw it up here as it's not really a football site, so common sense may overcome blinkered prejudice.
