I don't know anybody outside the Arsenal fan club that regards him as a genius...he is obviously a very intelligent and articulate man...but a genius???...also I question why he seems unable to retain his more experienced players...he is good with the youngsters for sure

everton got knocked back down to earth last night and w brom look to be a promising side.

hammers did well and it looks like the pundits have their lips firmly around carroll's cock again. peter reid said he was one of the best strkers in the premiership. gime a break...

how woeful has the start to spurs' season been? are they the new everton?

swansea came back last night and continue to impress. looks like the danes will be watching many more swansea matches.

    wigan, stoke...i'm sure someone cares.

how good was tevez last night? in particular, in the last 20 mins. rodwell however...not a good start for the young man. qpr looked slightly better and those signings should keep hopes alive for a while.

    predictions for tonight?

    l'pool vs arse = draw
n'castle vs villa = home win
s'hamp vs man u = home win (why the hell not? )

He won the league unbeaten without spending.

Do you think Fergie or Mourinho could do that?

In Fergie's early days at Utd he spent a fortune and finished mid table. One game from the sack!
The arrival of the Sky money made him. All of a sudden he could out spend everyone.

Wenger IS a genius. He has the record for consecutive CL appearances despite the handicaps placed on him.

With regards to players leaving...when a club like City come in and offer to double their salaries there isn't too much he can do.

I like his new attitude. Instead of begging the player (Cesc, Nasri) he just says ''off you pop'.

Mark these words and cast them in stone.

FIFA's financial fair play rules are just around the corner. This spells doom for the spendthrifts.

Arsenal will have a stadium paid off, be massively in profit, players wanting to stay and join, and Arsene will laugh all over Fergie's/Mancini's/Mourinho's/ tits.

Maybe...Fergie will be gone by then anyway...but if RVP can stay on the pitch he might have some hope this year...maybe

"I always figured his genius was due to him being French" of course that plays a huge part in his success.
Regarding United i still think that their defense is not good enough and DeGea is just awful when he has to get a ball in the air

For all their shortcomings they still finished second last year...and just ask the Liverpool owners how easy it is out there

If one were to look at the table right now...that would be right...however one could wonder if Liverpool's history could help?...but then one could consider how their neighbours across Lord Derby's patch get where they do...and what might be missing...and it doesn't look like history to me

Good to see West Ham holding their own.

Southampton's fixture list must have been created by their worst enemy. Perhaps they will get a point next month sometime.

That is the price of professional sport...and it isn't just football.
