And what do u think of the chances of City in the CL in the "group of death" with Real, Dortmund and Ajax?
^ pretty good...
Ajax aren't the force they were and this Borussia Dortmund team have very little experience in the tournament... They were even worse than City in the group stages last year.
The quiet weekend...any way I was reading the Telegraph and found this gem...no way am I an expert...but after Chelsea's performance while he was there...and since he left...lead me to think he hasn't got what it takes...what were Spurs thinking of???

Andre Villas-Boas’s managerial career in England almost began at Burnley
instead of Chelsea, a new book has revealed.
I'm not surprised a bit, the guy should have stayed in portugal probably would have ended up coaching the national side.
^^ Villas-Boas does seem to have the 'non-Midas touch', doesn't he. The latest example is signing the top goalie in France - supposedly one of the best in Europe - and then indicating that he might not be your first-choice after all:
Hugo Lloris has 'not appreciated' Andre Villas-Boas's comments that he might have to fight for Spurs place - Telegraph
How to de-motivate your new fancy signing! If you didn't need a top goalie, why sign one? Spurs now have four, but can't win a match.
yeah and Friedel is way passed his best years Lloris is in the top 6 or 7 best goalkeepers in the world
Yes...but he had a blinder the previous week...I think the question is about prioritising expenditure...do Spurs still have a director of football?...also this gem from the Telegraph may describe Vilas-Boas well:
“He sent a very detailed and lengthy application for the job. His CV and
Powerpoint presentation were amazing. Even by today’s standards there was some
complicated stuff in it, with some things that I didn’t understand.
“Tommy Docherty used to say he never said anything to his players his milkman
wouldn’t understand. I don’t think any milkman would fathom the meaning of a lot
of Andre’s presentation.
"The language and jargon of football gets worse by the day. Villas-Boas uses
a lot of it. Would Burnley players have ever understood what he wanted if he’d
told them to 'solidificate’ or some of his other terms?
not that long ago AVB was the coach of Guardeloupe
By 2005 every previous resident of Warsaw had listed their temporary address as Portswood, Southampton, leading to it's appointment as capital of Poland. It is currently the subject of a hostile takeover bid from the home counties, particularly

exactly so there are no universal answers
At Southend we have an entirely new strategy.
Find a goalkeeper who lets in an average of three goals per game and the defence fall over themselves to stop the ball getting anywhere near him.
Result? 1-0 home win last week.
Who needs Hart and Friedel when any of us on here could do the job?
