    The Thailand Blacklist

Hello, all. Can anyone give me the latest address of the Thailand blacklist of bad schools?

I've got a baaadddd one to add.

Welshman, what's up? Back me up on my addition to the blacklist, buddy!

I think there used to be a site like TEFLwatch.org or something, where they used to burn on school cause a few white boys cried to them... not sure, never checked it out myself. You can see if it is out on the interweb or not.

teflwatch.org it is - pretty good these days, not half so much silly unsubstantiated whinging as there used to be
Excuse me for not taking this seriously .....

That's because there are any number of headcases working TEFL in Thailand.

    Thanks a bunch, all

Hey, guys. Thanks a bunch. I appreciate the hot tips. I'll go to that TEFLwatch.org site and post what needs to be posted.

    I love this thread!

    My personal favourite highlight

    110,000 baht a month minimum
    Visas PAID by school
    Housing PAID by school
    Utilities PAID by school
    Plane tickets PAID by school

Anything less is "No Damn Way" when it comes to Thailand.

    Re: The Thailand Blacklist

Hey, so what's that TEFL watch all about now? It's just got ads and a picture of a copper sink. There aren't any posts related to teaching. You can still look at old posts by typing in the name of the school and...Hall of Shame.
Presumably you can add to these too.

Shame it's closed really, as BKK and I'm guessing the rest of Thailand has it's fair share of put upon teachers. Any chance of ajarn doing some kind of offshoot? I guess anybody could set up a new one, but nobody wants to get sued.

Lol....I did the ORIGINAL version of TEFL Watch which was called ThaiSchoolWatch.com, it was a resounding success, if your definition of success is having every single complained about school admin throwing the threat of lawsuits at you in a country where defamation is an imprisonable offence.....that'll teach me to found forums when drunk ...it really did shock me how quick it took off too!

As far as Ajarn doing something like that now, we do offer a fairly limited albeit heavily moderated subforum called School Talk which gives limited scope for feedback on schools, but there's no way we'd allow the libellous excesses of TEFL Watch on here....we're more lenient than we used to be though.
