Will it be another 'non profit' organisation, Bruce?

D, I did my course with TEFL Int'l over three years ago. Although I've got nothing to compare it to, I think it's a great course--it wasn't perfect, but it exceeded my expectations. It didn't completely prepare me for the classroom, but condidering people spend four years at uni to do the same thing, I think they did what they could in four weeks.

Mate my comment if you remember was "they have a shit reputation!"

I didn't slag 'em off and I really couldn't give a shit if you and kiwiling feel you have to defend them. That's great, I'm pleased you had a nice TEFL course

I don't really see how my post stirred this emotion in you guys I commented on my observations of what other people have talked about regarding Tefl Int. - I have no feelings either way ..... it was a throwaway comment ..... forget about it
Excuse me for not taking this seriously .....

No, I am not a milionaire but TI does owe me a lot of money in back salary!!

My strengths, I believe, are seeing market opportunitiues and then actually taking advantage of them. When I started TI it was because the CELTA in Hong Kong was $4,000 and there was a six-month waiting list to get on!
Someone with an MA in TEFL should have visited you in Ban Phe within the last week about some work/training/employment, etc.

I assume TI will continue in Ban Phe, with a new owner/proprietor/director/manager etc.

    My 'fairwell' to TEFL

Did anyone else notice the irony? He's trained thousands of English teachers and then misspells farewell on his last day.

I wonder if these issues are why the BOD of TI have decided not to pay Bruce recently...

Other than that...Bruce...hope your car restoration project goes good...I've got some great contacts in the states if you need parts as I helped a business doing the same sort of thing. But I just wonder how you're going to sell classics to a culture that is only into the latest flashy thing on the market.

    Good Luck!

    Re: My fairwell to TEFL

That is what I meant ken, thanks ....How does a CEO NOT get paid? Why? I would have thought that would only happen if the BOD were extremely less than pleased with the CEO, but I will admit, my corporate knowledge doesn't extend far. All I seem to remember is that the CEO serves at the BOD directors "pleasure". If he doesn't provided adequate ROI then he's out....but as I said...little do I know...

I have deleted some unsubstantiated allegations of a serious nature from a poster and again when it was quoted in a defence of it.
