...so Topper destroyed the old TEFL Watch site then?

Russ, so you'd support a forum that does NOT care about teachers in Thailand? Seems like a good plan to me.Originally Posted by russellsimpson

But then again, I don't work for TSR as a mod, so a better question is ....whats your agenda?

Based on what Greg said in the hot interview with Phil, it sounded like he cracked and just couldn't keep it going any more. The terrible stress caused by myself and others as well as him sucking as an admin caused him to quit. But read the hotseat interview yourself and form your own opinion.Originally Posted by panhunger

We've already had one tediously long thread on TEFL watchdog sites and I don't see this one heading anywhere other than a thread full of insults.
The worst job in Thailand must be the man who has to sit down with a blue marker pen and mark a number two on the two-baht coins to stop people thinking they are one-baht coins.
The OP suggested that comments be made on my blogsite....LDMA had indicated on another thread that is what he wished.

Its not really that strange that the questions asked were not answered, the interviewee has a very long track record of ignoring questions posed to him whilst rabbiting on abput whatever complete bollix the voices in his head tell him to rabbit about!Originally Posted by Whitey
Not your issue to deal with? has complete control over this issue now been given over to one or many of the voices then?Originally Posted by Whitey

I agree with anyone who thinks Topper is a loony.
Jimbo,
Just responding to the comments the mod team allowed here!![]()
My lips are sealed....no more comments, I promise! Check out the blog site in a bit though!
I get the point Phil, though isn't Thailand's premier teaching site the best place for an open discussion with regards the merits of the three competing sites? I'm sure there are others like myself who are waiting to see which site comes across as the most viable. So we need to lock it down then. That's the only way to stop people posting.
I'm not that interested in going to the blog.
Simply a matter of keeping the discussion civil and on topic. Course I know that's a tall order.
That's a pretty sweeping statement Topper. But forget it.Russ, so you'd support a forum that does NOT care about teachers in Thailand? Seems like a good plan to me.
Why not keep things on topic? What are the merits of one forum over the competing two. Why not leave personalites out of it. We've all been around that block far too many times.
Why not present these eight questions one at a time on the thread. Allow each of the administrators at the new forum a short response. Then open the forum to say perhaps ten -fifteen questions from the forum users at large. Build into this an opportunity for the admins to respond to each question.
A mod would have to be on hand to serve as moderator.
As Discuss might have said "it can't be that bloody difficult".
I agree that if you can't structure the discussion then you might as well shut it down. It just seems infantile that a discussion has to be shut down because teaching professionals can't conduct themselves in a reasonably professional manner.

Please refer to the answer given by the admin of TSR in response to question 10. How would you interpret that statement Russell? And I would hope the teachers based in Thailand DON'T forget what the response was.Originally Posted by russellsimpson

This is Topper's show. Please post further thoughts on this subject on Topper's site.
Good luck to all three sites.
