Hi there,
I am currently teaching in the mornings/early afternoons, I cram all my teaching hours into that time so I have the majority of the afternoons to myself! But I could really do with boosting my income a little, could anyone assist me with finding private work? I am looking for some afternoon/evening work on the weekdays? I am located in the Onnut area, so anywhere near there, along the BTS on in the or Bangna area. Please let me know, thanks!

You are teaching English, yes?
look here...
http://www.ajarnforum.net/vb/the-sta...e-lessons.html (Private Lessons)
the person needing some teaching is near bkk....if you need it, it may be worth your while
Why don't you hook up with an agent?
theres lots of private work to be found.
but if you need $$ right now, youve got Murphys Law to tangle with. and thats a bitch, no matter where youre from![]()
Too long in Exile, too long not singing my song.

sunnyjust,
No offense but are you a native speaker? Your post has a few basic English mistakes, but maybe you typed it in a hurry (?)
Are you a professional teacher (not a traveller on the way out) AND a female?
If so, I may have someone for you. She'd want lessons in her home and she lives near On Nut.
I'll pm you my email address after I confirm that she's still looking.
Jimbo,
I am a female native speaker, from England, and your right there was quite alot of mistakes in my message I typed. I was in a hurry as my computer was running out of battery!
I am not a traveller, i have been here for nearly two years, i work teaching kindergarten in OnNut, I am not a teacher as a profession in England, but have been working in the Education field for the last 3 or 4 years, both in England and in Thailand.
Please let me know if you have something, or anyone knows of anything else,
Many thanks.
Sunnyjust.
Apologies! That first post was awful!!!
Please let me know if anyone can point me in the right direction to look for private work. Have been to a couple of agencies but alot of them are only paying around 400 bhat/hour i would be looking for at least 500/600 to make it worth my while!

Think you should be saying sorry for that second post also!!!
I'll PM you the name of a good company that does corp work.
Daniel Bedingfield claimed that his new album is what it would sound like if Sting, Stevie Wonder and Micheal Jackson were in a basement together - I haven't got the album so I'll have to imagine the sound of a blind bloke and a Geordie kicking the shit out of a pedophile.
Honestly sunnyjust,
I don't want to pick on you, and I know it is only an internet forum, but you are asking for "teaching work." You really should find the edit button before pushing 'post.'
My dear friend is looking for a teacher but some of your grammar and punctuation mistakes (I'm afraid to say) are atrocious. Since I don't know you (and you're new to the board), your writing ability is all I have to measure you by, I'm afraid. She's pretty well off and will be paying the right candidate well over 5-600 baht as she realises the old adage is true, "you get what you pay for."
I wish the best of luck to you.

EF Siam is currently looking. Check with them. Never worked for them but a friend did. he said they were alright. Pay not great but.....
Please give the OP a break on her spelling errors. Who cares. It's a discussion forum. Are spelling errors and writitng style that important? methinks: nope. I understood perfectly fine what she was asking in her post. Posting a message on a discussion forum is NOT teaching![]()
I agree with you cola that this is only a discussion forum. But we're also on a (primarily) English teaching forum in the staffroom and she's presenting herself through the written word for private lessons. Lessons of which she expects to be renumerated fairly well for. In this case, and because of the circumstances I'd like to help, but must politely decline my original offer as it would be a reference for someone I know little about, beyond her posting style.
I'm trying to help her for future attempts at getting privates this way.![]()
