I know that this is an old thread, but scams are still rife.
Please advise me on the promises of this site...
    twabroad.com/ thailand .htm
    Should I go for it?

    Mr Pants,
It promises to be there for me through thick and thin...so to speak.
I was looking for a stamp of approval from this forum, but I do realize that I have to take my chances and that I cannot expect to get input re the "scam-worthiness" of the deal....
I have a degree, so I should probably be able to swing it on my own.

Ok, here is a question: should a young lady of 60 go and find a job, and also do a Tesol/Tefl in Bangkok, all on her own steam? I was looking for a reputable company to do the course.

Thank you for asking a leading question, but I will delete my post in case I have overstepped the rules.
    Mati

Maybe. I think that's a question only you can answer.

They exist. But if something out there sounds too good to be true...

My school does not seem to really care about the culture course. Up to the teacher as an individual is their outlook. The one things they do insist we do is go and teach in a less affluent school once a year; apparently we need to do this for the teacher's license. I just do it. Gave up asking questions about this subject a long time ago...

Having a BA degree and a Teacher's Diploma for High school, do I need the "Teacher's Licence", or will the TESL course in Thailand (cultural included), suffice?
