IMO it is difficult to get these privates unless you have access to the clientele. If you work for a language school, it is unethical to take students away from them.

Children and teens are a different story when you work for a school or university. Many of these students have parents that are interested in private tuition.

I have students on a waiting list; whereas, I have only ever had a couple of adults seriously inquire about private lessons and they were through Thai friends. Once they found out the rates, they quickly declined.

I've had quite a lot of offers on my estate, but i live in a house so they can come to me for studying, not sure if students would want to go to a condo room, if that's where you were thinking of giving lessons.

Depends on how you go about it and how much you want to charge. With a little initiative you could approach companies and such like offering your services but as other mentioned you need to be careful not to step on anybodies toes.

hollow is right, a friend of mine worked for a giant car producer and ended up training all it's call centre staff, he made 1 million baht for a years part time work with them then sold all his teaching notes to them too for an additonal cost, I think the thing is people go on ajarn.com and look for work but if you want to hit the street and present yourself well there is definetly money to be made.
