I would say there are schools here who are desperate to get an English Teacher with or with WP or Degree fake or not and if you fell out of favour they would "shop" you. It's the way it is in the LoS
Agreed... the amount of establishments I know of that actually encourage people to get fake degrees is unreal, and some of them are well respected schools.

Guys, remember that for example, when a government school asks the ministry for approval to open a new program, for instance, the approval can take up to 5 years to get back to the school.
I think these raids happen when Hippo was still working, or shortly after. His name was gathered with others from KSR. So, now 3 different government agencies have to get together and look through ceiling high stacks of paper to find these guys and get the go ahead to prosecute. So, fast forward a few years, they finally got their case together and approved so, they were waiting for Hippo to come in.
That's what I think happened.
Well done Hip Star, remember reading this thread a while back and it's already done and dusted. I get the impression your more happy about not been deported, which I understand with a family in Thailand. I bet the none degree holders are horrored at the possibility of been caught. The more the courts make from this could mean on a higher stiffer, more lucrative court case for old bill and more worse problem for the degreeless. Imagine been locked in a Thai jail for such a minor offence. They could just put a 100,000 away for safe keeping to cover the cost of case. Some folks simply can't live without Thailand.

Why is everyone saying it is good news? The guy has used a fake degree so should be in prison for a minimum of 2 years. What's next having teachers back in the West using fake police check reports to become teachers?
^mate, it is good news because Hippo is a good bloke. If you read the circumstances around the case then you will see it isn't as black and white as you seem to think it is. Sure he did wrong, sure it isn't a great thing to get a fake degree, but Hippo has mitigating circumstances. If a school wanted to hire you and asked you to get a fake, you would, wouldn't you?
Lets hope Trevor doesn't get caught when he does something technically illegal in this country.
