    Writing thesis in Thailand...or not

Hi, I am not sure what forum I should be posting under for this topic, so I'm starting here.
I am currently teaching ESL in BKK and am enrolled in an on-line Master's program in Education. I was informed recently that in order for my proposal to be accepted by my University I must recieve permission from the District Ethical Review Board. Is there an equivelant(sp) in Thailand? If so, are my chances slim to none in actually getting anyone from the Ministry of Ed. to approve a research project?
If anyone has written an educational thesis in Thailand or can point me in the semi-right direction into getting this info, I would appreciate it. Thanks!!

are you sure theres ESL in thailand??

...about your question, you would be well suited to go and meet people at universities here. make some contacts and ask questions. not many people in-the-know will go out of their way to point you in the right direction, unless they feel a wee bit invested in you.

get to chula, or thammasat in bkk and meet some folk there who submit things all the time to ministries, and approval boards, etc. wak around the campus. a day or two of mingling will go a long way to saving you time and energy.
