Daniel Bedingfield claimed that his new album is what it would sound like if Sting, Stevie Wonder and Micheal Jackson were in a basement together - I haven't got the album so I'll have to imagine the sound of a blind bloke and a Geordie kicking the shit out of a pedophile.
I am surprised you cannot find anything - okay I have limited experience but it seems that everywhere I go they are looking for English teachers. Try Satun and Trang - I could hardly set foot in these places without being offered work.
In Bangkok get a list of all the schools in Silom district - send your cv. If you want a quick fix go to The Nature Method Language Institute by Kao San, or look regularly in the Bangkok post for opportunities.
Warning though - although the Nature Method can get you into work very quickly they promised me they would sort me out with my work permit etc - but these where empty promises - never mind - I soon found other work and left them. Don't worry about having signed a 12 month contract - it is not worth the paper it is written on.
^ True... if you like Metal, Rock, New Metal etc.. there is lots on offer.
This is it... The apocalypse.
I like rock, indie rock. Anything a little more underground. I like pop rock also, but not pop in Thai sense of pop (boy band esque)
Greenday will be here in Jan, hope they play more of the old stuff not the new crap.
Green days first couple of albums are OK. The rest of their stuff is balls.
Shudders*
I saw them live a good 7 years ago or so. It was fun.
I saw them in 97 or so, great time. Their past like 4 albums have been garbage.
I would maybe go see them just for the hell of it though.
Where can I find lists of shows comign to Bangkok. Particularly American, European bands
They were the first band I've ever seen live I think, was at Leeds festival.
Ahh leeds. Good times.
Unfortunatly fb, there really aren't that many western bands that perform in Bangkok. Which is something I've never really understood.
I hear RHCP will play occasionally and linkin park. I don't care for LP but do enjoy RHCP.
The reason they don't play here is because it's simply out of the way. After they played Bangkok there aren't other places in the area they could book.
I used to book bands for a living and the most important thing was to create some sort of linear tour. You can't jump back and forth all over the place, it's simply too expensive and not worth it in most cases.
But what about China, Vietnam, KL, Singapore, Austraila, Japan, Korea?
You're best off searching your favourite bands websites mate, it's how I know about bands coming here.
It's doable, but all those places are spread out pretty far. As opposed to Europe and the USA. They can do 30 shows and only have traveled 10 hours.
The tour you just put up there would be astronomically longer and more tedious.

Haha I know my favorite bands are not coming anywhere near bangkok, I was just thinking more so in bands that are actually listenable.
