Mr. Alan as full name on bank account?

Is there a known scam? One where different surnames are being used? One on e-mails, another one on the bank account? It has to do with support services for teachers who are hunting for jobs. Looks like a red flag to me.
Alan X is doing the talking, Alan R is the name on some bank account where Alan X wants money to be deposited. The bank just shows Mr. Alan and no surname.

Perhaps if you gave a little more information concerning the complete background of this possible scam it just may be possible to assist you and indeed other's regarding the post you've made.

I think the story needs a bit more detail.
