    While not all rich people are smart, it does take intelligence to become rich--and stay rich--from nothing. There are plenty of stories of rock stars, football athletes, etc. who were too stupid to manage their riches and quickly became impoverished or deeply in debt.

    And then there are people who never see any wealth at all, despite being born in one of the wealthiest generations at a time of enormous financial growth and prosperity. That's you, in case you didn't know it, jd.
