Hey, I am a recent lurker and new member.
I was wondering if anyone could give me an opinion on the viability of an idea that I have. I recently finished an MA in International Development and before that a BA in Poli Sci. Anyway, jobs in international development are somewhat hard to come by, but I am not exactly in the position to accept completely unpaid volunteer/ internships.
So, the plan I want opinions on is perhaps teaching english for a while, say a year minimum, and in the downtime volunteering/ interning where and when I can at various NGO/ International Orgs in order to cobble together enough experience to get full time paid development work? Possible? Maybe? Thanks for any replies.
PS- I realize there is an development section, but it seems rather less frequently visited than sections like this one, so apologies in advance if this is in the wrong section.
It's an idea.
I'll bet those paid positions are pretty hard to come by though.
Best of luck.

i don't understand the question. You want to be some sort of cobbler for an NGO, and teach while you gain experience?
I guess that'd be OK. I recommend to just stick with the teaching part tho.
