    Personal TEFL course suggestions.

I am looking at http://www.teachabroadthailand.com. I really like what they offer, particularly this adverture pack that not only includes the course, but also scuba diving and what not, in Koh Samui.

    Has anyone taken this course?

Or please, I would loveeee to know your personal experience. Online? In Thailand? In America/not Thailand? I want to hear it all!!

Try Samui TEFL... I just finished a couple of weeks ago. Probably one of the better courses out there and it's on Samui, what more could you ask for! Have a look at the website and facebook page for more info. Hope you find what you're looking for anyway... Good luck.

I know this was touched on in your newbie thread but it's a good idea to consider the benefits.
I believe your stated aim is to teach in Bangkok?
As you are likely to be in demand because of your qualifications and demographic, it all comes down to experience and networking.
Taking a good TEFL course may not give your quals a huge lift, but you will gain from starting in another part of the country. A different cultural experience combined with working with others from a wider background with different ideas and aspirations.
It's also a chance to relax a little after your degree and try new activities, while building a base of friends and information to help mould and refine your own choices.
Your obvious enthusiasm will carry you a long way.

Keep your options open and don't rush any decisions. Take care and best of luck to you.

I have ultimately decided that I am going to take a course in Thailand with the understanding that as far as getting a job, it might not help very much. But I feel like the experiences it will give me - connections in Thailand, new friendships in the area, Thai classroom experience, confidence - will help me rather than getting on a plane and having no direction.
