Lots of colours available. And cheap!

Also, as a sidenote, not without other uses.

I love chalk. I really do. I love the dust. I love a good chalkboard (hard to find in Thailand)

I've always prided myself on my handwriting, and I agree with you. I love a good pen. Even though using a ballpoint was heresy and sedition way back when I was at school, I do love some of the new models. I can write even better than I did with my fountains (that I got for every birthday and every Christmas for about ten years.)

My love letters...oh, the joy and the pain.

Quality is in short supply here, it wouldn't have taken Einstein to know who you were.

Russ, change that to...If you are fortunate enough... Does that work for you?

apart from 'keeping the whole thing alive', I am pretty sure I have heard of a number of studies that show that cursive writing helps both as a memory aid and as a sort of creativity shot.

I don't have time to find the studies now, and I may have just dreamt them, but I willl have a look later.

With it enhancing creativity, it makes perfect sense to me. Ever sat to writing something, hit a bit of a mental block, and then suddenly a flow of thoughts comes gushing. At that exact time, I can easily see how a cursive script would at least ease the flow, if not actually open the flood gates.

At a push I can see how it would also act as a memory aid but, if I remember right (would have read it in cursive script), the studies were based on neural pathways that were stimulated more from cursive script. Words become words, rather than just a collection of letters. ??

    something like that

But then you come on here and barrage posters and say that nobody should teach except you.

    I complained.

    Result: Post still there.

What an extremely unpleasant excuse for a human being.

^do you have to start a fight with everyone you disagree with? Again, it is your tone. Moderate your tone and you will find that folks play nice. You are ruining a good thread, again...

You arrogant Mr Knowitall. You do realise that a few people on here concur with that statement. You are far from a star attraction I'm afraid to tell you.

I have quoted a rule that someone has broken, yet no one has done anything about it, if you think I'm going to crawl under a stone and be bullied by you and your follower, you are on another planet.

This forum has the ability to rid themselves of me whenever and however they want. Indeed the have proved that TWICE before by banning me for NOTHING. Until they do, I will conduct myself in a manner I see fit and not in the manor of an arrogant little twerp like you. Comprende?

I'm equally fond of chalk and whiteboard markers.

Sniffing lines of "chalk" or huffing markers....it's all good when you're teaching in Thailand.

Not strong on the hint, then?

in a manor I see fit
Yes, you do have a problem with 'manners'.

    It'll come.

Welcome to stalkersville. Oh yes, you have me on permanent block, Mr. jealous and obsessed by me. You scrutinise my every word, something I couldn't be even bothered doing.

Instead of acting like a tool, why not work on getting your students to respect you.

MM, I am sure I am not the only one who enjoys your oh-so-regular meltdowns when the blindingly obvious gets points out to you. You delusions are really tremendous...

I particularly enjoyed that bit. I have a 'follower'? Who wuda thunk it? Can I ask one tiny question - who is my follower? I just want to know so as to assign some much needed tasks so I can get this world domination thing going...

Anyway, seeing as you were banned but didn't know why, say you just continue posting in the same style and making the same bitter attacks on a majority of folks on AF, then we will see what happens again.

It is all in the tone.
