I've always prided myself on my handwriting, and I agree with you. I love a good pen. Even though using a ballpoint was heresy and sedition way back when I was at school, I do love some of the new models. I can write even better than I did with my fountains (that I got for every birthday and every Christmas for about ten years.)

apart from 'keeping the whole thing alive', I am pretty sure I have heard of a number of studies that show that cursive writing helps both as a memory aid and as a sort of creativity shot.

With it enhancing creativity, it makes perfect sense to me. Ever sat to writing something, hit a bit of a mental block, and then suddenly a flow of thoughts comes gushing. At that exact time, I can easily see how a cursive script would at least ease the flow, if not actually open the flood gates.

At a push I can see how it would also act as a memory aid but, if I remember right (would have read it in cursive script), the studies were based on neural pathways that were stimulated more from cursive script. Words become words, rather than just a collection of letters. ??

I have quoted a rule that someone has broken, yet no one has done anything about it, if you think I'm going to crawl under a stone and be bullied by you and your follower, you are on another planet.

This forum has the ability to rid themselves of me whenever and however they want. Indeed the have proved that TWICE before by banning me for NOTHING. Until they do, I will conduct myself in a manner I see fit and not in the manor of an arrogant little twerp like you. Comprende?

Sniffing lines of "chalk" or huffing markers....it's all good when you're teaching in Thailand.
