A good way to make money with privates is to set up your own class once you've got very happy, rich clients in your pocket.
Put together a basic course and sell it to them, use your house or rent a classroom, tell them 5 students for 2 hours for 1000b each, paid up front the beginning of every month. Make a very good name for yourself and you'll likely have another 5 of their friends wanting to start another class within a month.
IME rich folk in BKK are crying out for good, dependable, private English teachers, and have no problem handing over the cash and spreading the word.
Get two of those classes set up, one from 10-12 and one from 1-3pm and it's a nice 10k for 4 hours work once a week.
Or you could work in E.C.C for 350b p/h to suppliment your OBEC 30k p/m salary.
Be good and market yourself.

The question is too vague to be answered in more than just a general way.That's a good idea...So why don't you answer it in a general way?
A good wage is about 150 baht an hour if you are teaching teenage prostitutes on a beach and the school provides free beer... or 1,500 baht an hour if you are teaching Japanese students in Thong Lo at 7 o clock in the morning.
I do the latter of those two gigs because my girlfriend is the jealous kind!
