You're brave if you're thinking of relocating from Thailand to India.
Beer - no. In Goa = yes, other places, hard to come by or very expensive.
Chicks - No. Except ones that are, or consider themselves to be, high class. Then you will need to be pulling down some serious money to entertain them.
Hassle factor compared to Thailand. High. Very.

IMHO - excellent place to visit for an extended period. (i went for 6 months) but not a viable proposition as a place to live and have fun. Not compared with hoop jumping Thailand anyway.

If you're going to Bihar, Bengal or less travelled areas, bring cash. ATM machines are few and far between or, in the case of Bihar, non-existant.
