Re: Best National Park in Thailand?

I've been to exactly that spot Cap'n! I hired a scooter in Kanchanaburi and spent an hour or so getting there before camping the night with whisky and friends. Bloody beautiful place, I would certainly recommend it.

Please give us all a break with the highlighted comment of yours, OR SO, was more like 3 hours on your little Scooter. Saying that, Erawan Water Falls are with in that time Zone on a scooter BTW.

Re: Best National Park in Thailand?

I really enjoyed Khao Sok. I stayed at Green Mountain View bungalows. Mr. Tawee and his family are very accommodating and lots of fun to stay with. I went in February when the big Bupoot Raflessia flower is blooming in the jungle. While hiking in Khao Sok, I got off the path just to be adventurous and found where wild elephants lay down at night near a river and a big green lizard landed on my head. What a fun time. There is great hiking and an awesome optional trip on a long tail boat to the floating bungalows. I only stayed for lunch as I thought $250 a night was steep for a bungalow. They served us fried gourami fish for lunch which was tasty. Check it out.

Re: Best National Park in Thailand?

Visited Khao Sam Roi Yod a couple of weeks ago - it was very quiet and peaceful. Took the boat out to the island with the temple in a cave.
Its close to Hua Hin (that place is quickly turning into another shitehole) and well worth a visit.

Re: Best National Park in Thailand?

I suggest Koh Fuk Yerself NP.

Not for everyone...just for you. It's full of nitwits so you'll identify with the people there. There's loads of signage in the park but don't bother reading it. Just do and say as you wish...much like as you do on this forum.

I saw plenty of Canadian flags about. No doubt you'll be proud of that. Sit down to dinner with your compatriots and slag off America while at the same time telling them how tolerant you are of America and Americans. Perhaps it will baffle them as much as it does us.

The forest there is dense and the water is cloudy. Just take a trip through your thought process and you'll see what it will be like to hike through the island's jungle and swim along its coastline.

If you go, please do be sure to let me know. I'm an arrogant prick and love spending time with people of lesser intelligence than myself.

Re: Best National Park in Thailand?

I have been to the had chao mai national park where you can do excellent snorkeling. I really had an awsome day there. however, I am not sure if I would go there again, not because I didn't like it, but just because there are so many other places in Thailand that I'd still lke to see
