I've got 6 weeks hols. and I'm trying to decide where to go in LOS.
Any ideas?
This time last year I went down south. On the way back I stayed at the Kabana Resort, Chumpon. Excellent! Diving, snorkelling, and a beach with no deck chairs or peddlers. Really relaxing and not too expensive.
Maybe someone out there has been to a special spot. I like info. first hand. Internet and books don't always give the whole story.

pattaya, where the party never stops![]()
I'm going here just after Songkran: http://www.dolphinbayresort.com
It looks lovely, private pool and jacuzzi!
Riddle me this brother can you handle it

I had a great time diving with Sea Dragon in Khao Lak last year (they could with the business now, of course!). About 17k for a 4-day liveaboard to the Similans, including unlimited food and (non-alcoholic) drinks.

With that much time you should really give the North a shot. The further N. the better. Mea Salong,Tha Ton. Then get yer self in a slow boat to to Luang Prabang on the Mekong .

It seems that some of my students are gonna go hang at KSR. Is KSR that great of a place to see the festivities? This is my first Song Kran (spelling?) in Thailand.
It's like I'm speaking a foreign language or something...
I've been to dolphin Bay. Nice, but quite a drice from anywhere. You must go see the national park sam roi lord (I think) nearby and take a boat trip. There's a beautiful wat at the foothills of one of the mountains that has a grass field in front of it filled with flowers I'd never seen before (in BKK) that when you walked near them would close up and then reopen - like an acid trip! It was a really relaxing, magical place.
Of course you could always go to Pattaya. :chug:
