3rd class on trains is a horrible, horrible, horrible experience.. try it.
This is it... The apocalypse.
Mental note - Do not go by 3rd class
I have booked my flight, £240 before tax, £352 after...
You were all right on the London to Bangkok thing... no flights from Manchester to Phuket..

Its kind of ironic... I'm looking forward to going so much, things just keep getting more and more fucked up here. Time for a new chapter
That cant be a return ticket can it?

Aimee, are you still looking for PKT to Krabi journey options? If so let me know and I can provide plenty of details.
My vote would be the boat (yes, they run regularly in the low season) from Bang Rong pier to Koh Yao Noi. Stay two or three nights there and then take another boat from KYN to Krabi. Stay a few nights there and go on to Phi Phi. From there, take the cruise back to HKT (much more expensive now) just before your course. I'd be interested to see how you compared KYN to the tourist traps of Krabi and Phi Phi. Come to think of it, you should do that in reverse order so KYN is last but getting to the Krabi-KYN pier is a bit daunting for a newbie.
I was going to aim to get the over night train to Krabi from Bangkok and start there, 10 days before my course
I land at 3:15PM so don't know if I will have time to get on another flight to Krabi, I know there is 4 a day but i need to do some more investigating!
No it isn't a return ticket btw. I don't want to return! lol

The train goes to Surat overnight. When you arrive there in the very early morning you board a coach for what about a 3 hour journey.
