You're welcome at mine for free, my place is only a 1 bedroom condo but the bedroom is only storage for me as I can't sleep without the TV on. If you want something more private I used to stay at Asia Hotel just off Ratchetewi BTS station.
I'd stay here as you can book it directly, and its in the price range. Maybe not the area you want. But its fine.

found a great place. it's at the end of suk soi 7/1. free wifi in the room, aircon that blasts arctic air, satellite tee wee, hot water from a powerful shower. all for 970 baht.
Maxim's Inn is worth the barrage of whores to get here.

City Lodge at Nana is quite nice. Can't remember the price though...I think a couple Songkrans ago it was closer to 2000 baht.
