Anyone recommend anywhere for a few nights kip when I first land next month? Never used to pay more than 250B back in the day but this time I might be prepared to pay a little more for somewhere a bit nicer, preferably with a TV, A/C and a fridge. Location-wise either somewhere either down by the river or inside the old city walls. Any ideas?
Throw a stone and you should hit somewhere that fits the bill. I always liked the Hollanda Montri that is on Farnham Road near the bridge (forget the name of the bridge) that leads onto Kaew Nawarat Rd.
Has the added benefit of being just down the road from Buenissimo, one of the best Italian Restaurants in Thailand, IMO.

Looks ok the Rux Thai. 550B now I think. Unless you get a better price for just turning up rather than booking on a website?
