anyone been there recently? whats the visa situation? from looking around it seems you must apply before going. information is scarce, to put it mildly.
is a stay longer than 1 month even possible? thinking of checking it out perhaps in may or june...and would stay a couple of months or longer if its worth the trouble.
also, does anyone know any good sites offering info on burma? i.e. rentals, traveling, etc.

i went in 2006. information wasn't scarce then. can't imagine levels have regressed.

Stay away from the "Down low" on Burma. Quite different. Typically involves a Japanese Sex Wheel and two muscular German guys.
