Re: Movies - what you seen and was it any good?
Watched 'Stardust' which I think is a bit of a gem.
Someone actually sat down and WROTE something.
If you grew up watching Claire Danes on "My So-Called Life"
then that's enough of a reason...but Robert Deniro as the
queeny lightning-catcher seals it. 9/10!
Very funny bit appearance by Ricky Gervais as well

Re: Movies - what you seen and was it any good?
Am in the middle of Hot Rod. Great movie, really dumb and really funny.
About a kid who wants to raise money for his stepfather's heart transplant.
He wants his stepfather to be healthy for when he kicks his a$$
Favorite scene so far is when his buddies are dancing outside the convenient store. Great stuff.
If Napolean Dynamite has a special place in your heart you will love this movie!!

Re: Movies - what you seen and was it any good?
No Country for Old Men.
Loved the laconic humor, the wide open spaces and the evocation of the people and the places. The main characters are all beautifully done and the visuals are wonderful. Its very violent, of course. I actually cared about the way a couple of the characters were treated, which is a good sign in a movie. Ultimately depressing, of course, since the bad guy wins. The characters seem battered, depressed and disappointed at the huge canyon between their hopes and reality. Maybe that's how America feels at this time? It deserved the awards, but its not a feelgood movie.

Not someone mate the GREAT....the most WONDERFUL....the LEGEND that is Neil Gaiman (sp?). Genius and the writer of the comic that z's avatar comes from!!!
Little known fact mate....Bobby D's Dad came out of the closet after he'd been born (I think a while after)....I wonder if that was the 'inspiration'???

Do you mean Monica Belluci the Italian actress that does loads of French filums? She is really attractive and a good actor to boot. Is Shoot 'em Up any good?

Re: Movies - what you seen and was it any good?
The Darjeeling Express.
Owen Wilson tries hard to be quirky, but it comes across as very contrived.
Three brothers go on a train journey across India during which they rediscover why they hate each other. They eventually find their mother, who had abandoned them many years before to become a nun, but after telling them she loves them she abandons them again. There are some funny moments, including one involving a snake in a train carriage (bit like Snakes on a Plane?), but ultimately its shit.

Yep...MB is indeed Monia lovely tits lady Belluci....who is married to the wicked Vincent Cassel mate (who is a French actor)!
Shoot 'em Up is okay dawg.....not superb, just okay (in my best Randy Jackson voice). A bit silly at times though!!!

You do get to see Natalie Portman's bum though (she's old enough now though so that's cool).

I don't remember seeing Natalie Portman in it? That gorgeous Indian girl on the train was well fit though.

Re: Movies - what you seen and was it any good?
Darjeeling Line (which is the Darjeeling Express) is the one she's in (which is the Wes Anderson film right?):
The Darjeeling Limited (2007)
She was Jack's ex-bird in it!

Re: Movies - what you seen and was it any good?
The Darjeeling Express - thought it was juvenile nonsense
anyone ever seen 'Being There' with Peter Sellers? brilliant, about American high society projecting themselves onto a simple gardener, Chellsey who is only speaking about his garden but after a few coincidences ends up advising the president. Saw it again recently, one of my all time favorites.
