Re: Movies - what you seen and was it any good?
 Definitely wanna see that.
Saw this in Pantip yesterday and picked it up. The Trap: What Happened to Our Dream of Freedom
Another excellent documentary by Adam Curtis who did The Power of Nightmares. Explores the history of idea that we should all be free and the how that freedom is defined. Really, really well done film. Essential viewing for anyone into philosophy, psychology or politics. 5/5

Excellent frontage, sideage, and backage. Marisa Tomei is not, uh, ugly. That opening scene was something. I could have done without seeing P.S.H. naked though. Kinda disturbing.

Re: Movies - what you seen and was it any good?
John Rambo (2008)
Sylvester Stallone and a whole bunch of bit parts
In Thailand, John Rambo is living peacefully capturing snakes and transporting people and cargo in an old boat. But when he joins a group of mercenaries to venture into war-torn Burma, and rescue a group of Christian aid workers who were kidnapped by the ruthless local infantry unit. Rambo refuses, but is convinced by another member, Sarah Miller, to take them up there. When the aid workers are captured by the Burmese army, Rambo decides to venture alone into the war zone to rescue them
5/10. Possibly the ultimate in 'take-your-brain-out' entertainment weighing in at an almost documentary-esque 72 minutes (at least this version was)
The usual predictable story-line and mumbling Sly but the special effects (legs being blown off, etc) are pretty darn good for those who like that sort of thing.
Credit to Stallone though, because even though the jowls are certainly showing their age, he's kept himself pumped, unlike some cigar-smoking politicians I could name. Stallone can still get away with it but I think Rambo 5 might be pushing it too far.
Yes, it's straight-to-video meaningless drivel but I gotta level with you - I enjoyed it far more than I enjoyed Darjeeling Express.

Re: Movies - what you seen and was it any good?
Come on! I hated the first 3 Rambo flicks but this one was hilarious. You could see right through the bullet holes i people in some scenes.
I wonder how much it's been chopped. I saw the screener DVD and that was 84 minutes. You say the Thai version is 72 minutes. I also happened to catch about 10 minutes of it on one of the dodgy cable channels here and they were showing scenes I hadn't seen in the screener version. IMDB lists it as 91 minutes. Hope I didn't miss any scenes of people getting their bits shot off.

10/10 for nostalgia, and doing something about the burmese miltary cunta
