Re: Movies - what you seen and was it any good?
Since my last post I've seen/re-seen:
Schindler's List - Wow! (5/5)
Wayne's World - I'm not quite sure why I enjoyed this one so much, but I did. The multiple endings gag was pretty stupid. But then again, so was most of the film. (3/5)
Snakes on a Plane - I can't imagine anyone other than Samuel L. Jackson taking the lead in this one. It's not perfect, but it's never boring. (3/5)
A Nightmare on Elm Street - Starting to show it's age a little now, but definitely one of my favourite horror films and one of Craven's best. (4/5)
A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge - Disjointed plot and unintentionally homoerotic death scene let down what I thought was an otherwise enjoyable film. (2.5/5)
Apocalypse Now - Loses half a mark for the final half hour. Not quite sure what was going on there but I had been up 'til 2am so maybe my dwindling attention was the problem, not the film. (4.5/5)
A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors - Craven was back on board for this one and it showed. More of an "official" sequel to the first film than Freddy's Revenge. (3/5)
A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master - More of a wise-cracking Freddy than in the previous films. The writers seemed more interested in killing off characters as quickly and gruesomely as possible than actually trying to construct a plot of any sorts. Saying that though, the deaths are always fun to watch. (2/5)

With a better script and no Michael Bay it could've been a hell of a lot better, but I quite enjoyed it. Definitely not boring.
Scarlett Johansson - yummy!

Lord of War. Liked it, will watch it again and possibly more times after that. International arms dealing. I think I missed my true vocation. I can't abide holding the things but selling them?

Yeah mate I watched that by mistake recently (came on the telly while I was slumped on the couch channel grazing), and I really liked it.
It's become a bit of a genre unto itself, these bio films of ordinary but interesting people who end up in prison, write a book about themselves and the book becomes a film narrated by an actor playing the author (Goodfellas, Blow etc).
Anyway, like I say, I watched this one by mistake and while a little predictable it was interesting and surprisingly good.

That's a great flick! Funny too, the two Imans and no condom in 200 miles scene was a scream.

Yeah I'm not sure I could have been quite so restrained. I wonder if that's the way it really happened.
